Jinger & Joy-Anna Duggar Break Silence On Family’s ‘Sickening’ Sins

The Duggar family seemed to be wholesome when TLC viewers first met them. However, the family became more problematic as the seasons went on. TLC cut all ties with them after the oldest son, Josh, was arrested for possession of child pornography. He’s currently in prison. The family weathered another scandal earlier this year when another son, Joseph, was charged with allegedly molesting a 9-year-old girl. Jinger and Joy-Anna Duggar broke their silence and addressed their family’s “sickening” sins after their second brother’s arrest.
Latest Update On Joseph Duggar’s Child Molestation Case
Josh Duggar caused his family to lose two TLC shows. The first was canceled after he admitted to sexually abusing his younger sisters. TLC immediately dropped the reboot after he was charged with the possession of child pornography in 2021. He’s currently in prison after receiving a sentence of over 12 years. But he’s not the only Duggar son accused of disgusting acts.

Joseph Duggar was arrested in March 2026 on charges of molesting a young girl. The alleged incident happened on a family vacation in 2020. Joseph Duggar allegedly confessed all to the victim’s father, but pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was released on bond and returned to Arkansas, where he’s facing unrelated charges of child endangerment.
He returns to court on September 18, 2026, for pretrial proceedings.

Jinger & Joy-Anna Duggar Break Silence On Family’s ‘Sickening’ Sins
Jinger and Joy-Anna Duggar sent their love and prayers to Joseph Duggar’s alleged victim. They both admitted that it brought up a lot of old wounds related to their other brother, Josh. The sisters revealed this week that Joy-Anna is replacing Jinger’s husband on their podcast.
In one of the first episodes of Call Your Sister, Joy-Anna and Jinger addressed where they’ve been able to find joy and happiness amid all the recent darkness. Joy-Anna is pregnant with her fourth child, so that’s one happy moment.
“We’ve had wave after wave of just sickening, horrible things happening. And it really just sends me into a spiral,” Joy-Anna told her sister. She added, “It just feels like it’s, you know, sin is so dark and so heavy, and it’s hard to find true joy.”
In a candid moment, Joy-Anna opened up about suffering from postpartum depression after the birth of her first child in 2018. “It was the perfect storm of everything hitting all at once with postpartum; my hormones were crazy, there was just a lot of family stuff going on,” she said.
But she told her sister that she’s finally coming out of the darkness. New episodes of the Call Your Sister podcast come out every Wednesday.
