Janelle Brown Declares She’s Cutting Ties With Kody

Sister Wives season 20 is soon coming back on screen. The Brown family will return to action, and we will get to see their chaotic family dynamics. However, this time it will be very different from the previous season. We will see the final showdown for the Coyote Pass property, and on top of that, Janelle has decided that she wants nothing to do with Kody anymore.

Janelle has already separated from Kody, but now she wants to sever all spiritual ties. In the previous season, we saw her consider the option of a spiritual divorce after Meri planted the idea in her head. Now, she will finally take control of her life and change things for the better. On the other hand, Meri is also dipping her toes into the dating game, though awkwardly at first. Kody also had one-on-one conversations with all his ex-wives, where he apologized for his actions. It seems that season 20 will be quite action-packed.

Sister Wives: The Real Reason Why Janelle Left Kody!

Janelle and Kody were together for 29 years, but their marriage ended when Kody started prioritizing his fourth wife, Robyn. After the split, Janelle moved to North Carolina to be near her daughter, Madison, and focused on building her 164-acre farm while pursuing her dreams. She never wanted the marriage to end, but she had no choice.

In Sister Wives Season 19, she explained that conflicts with her kids, especially Gabriel and Garrison, during the pandemic, fueled the tension. Kody’s unwillingness to keep the family united and his emotional distance pushed her to her breaking point, while Janelle now thrives surrounded by friends, family, and her children.

Sister Wives: Janelle Plans To Take Spiritual Divorce From Kody!

For the longest time, Janelle has led a very protective life. She hasn’t experimented much and has followed the rules and regulations set by her family. Now she is finally willing to change. She is ready to take control of her own life. In the trailer, we saw her admit that she needs to get out and live a little. A friend suggested she change her hair and embrace a new version of herself.

Later, we saw Janelle get a makeover and change her hair. She also had a virtual conversation with Meri about the Coyote Pass property and spiritual divorce. She admitted to her former sister wife that she is ready to go forward with a spiritual divorce from Kody. The duo separated in December 2022, but they never finalized a proper divorce.

Janelle previously shared that she doesn’t consider herself divorced since they were never legally married. During her virtual conversation with Meri, she said they had talked about the spiritual divorce and that she thinks she is finally ready for it. Meri fully supported the idea and assured Janelle that she would help her throughout the process. It seems that Kody is going to receive another divorce notice.

Janelle’s current behavior shows that she is ready to let bygones be bygones and move on with her life. She was also seen partying and having a good time with her friends. It was great to see Janelle happy once again after everything she had gone through. Fans can’t wait to see the Brown family back on screen.
